‘Paint Pottery Pixels’ Exhibition 2024

I am very excited to be exhibiting some of my photography alongside Central Otago visual artist and long-time friend Gretl Barzotto, and well known local potter Kathi McLean, at the Alexandra Museum in Central Otago, New Zealand.

Artist Statement

Sally is a fine art photographer who enjoys capturing images of the natural and urban environment as well as creating abstract and vibrant imagery using various creative techniques. Sally balances her passion for photography with a busy corporate career.

Growing up in Hawkes Bay in New Zealand, Sally typically was the person in the family capturing moments with a point and shoot camera. Her inspiration to take up photography more seriously came in 2017 after completing two introductory courses to study technical and aesthetics of image making.

Since then, she has been drawn to creating beautiful photographic images across a range of genres. In addition, Sally has been awarded for her photographs in Australian and international competitions and has exhibited and sold images at a number of art shows and galleries.

These limited edition creative landscape images are part of a limited-edition collection: Nature’s Canvas: Central Otago Edition – unveiling the beauty of the local natural environment using a variety of in-camera creative techniques.
